4 Reasons You Won't Lose Any More Sleep Over Jetlag

Oct 8, 2007
For all of you insomniacs out there, taking a long trip by plane may sometimes feel like a nightmare. But fly the great blue skies without a care in the world, while snuggling up to a whole new world of dreams.

Here are some ways to kick jetlag to the curb:

Spritz Your 'Blankie' With Sleeping Mist Before Taking Flight
Of course, in these times we live in, you probably will not be able to spray your sleeping mist openly on an aircraft. But that does not mean that you cannot prepare your items for takeoff in order to drift off into a nice slumber on the plane. Take the luscious scents of lavender and green apple vanilla along for the ride, and just relax. No longer will you have to pass the time reading those out of date airplane magazines or sifting through your bag of peanuts. Lean your chair back, snuggle up with great aromas, and you will be at your destination in no time.

Liven Up the Hotel Linens With Sleeping Mist
No need to worry about freshening up the pillows and sheets with your aromatic sleeping mist. The linens will be washed, so no harm will be done to the room. Often times, it is difficult to fall asleep in a strange place. Without the comfortable surroundings of home, trouble sleeping often sets in with a vengeance. Instead of tossing and turning all night, bring a little bit of home to your vacation.

Hold All Calls When You Get Back
Whether your trip was for business or pleasure, there is no need to plunge right back into the daily grind minutes after you get off the plane. Life should be all about giving yourself a little bit of time to recollect, and then glide gently back into the swing of things. When you do not allow yourself a break after a long and tedious flight, you are left feeling lifeless and moody, and this really will do more harm than good overall. It is better to just take a timeout, get some good rest, and then go about your business.

Throw the Power Nap to the Wayside
Any time you return from a trip by plane, there is definitely a readjustment period, whether it be from all the excitement, the time changes or simply from being cooped up in a plane for hours. After all that you have been through, what is a measly ten minutes of sleep going to do? It cannot even be called slumber because it is not even worth the time. Pull back the covers and let the fresh scents of your mist lull away all that jetlag that you are feeling. Nothing can cure it better than a good hearty rest, and if you need some help in doing so, what better way to do so then with a wonderfully fragrant mist.

Jetlag will be a thing of the past in your world if you take the right steps to eliminate it. There is no need to push your body past its limits, particularly if you are a heavy traveler. All of that will catch up with you, and it will take a toll on your body. So, just mist and rest.
