There are as many ways to promote your business on the internet as there are in your imagination and more. Over the years people conducting business on the internet have come up with some pretty creative ways to accomplish maximum results for being seen.

You will also find that for each of these tactics there are sure to ebooks and products available to help you understand the multitude of many of the frequently used methods. Well cover a couple of those methods here.

Pay-per-click (PPC) is also a good method in Internet marketing. My suggestion is to use Google Adwords, learn it, know it inside and out. The reason for this is because Google is by far the number 1 search engine on the net and arguably they hold approx 65 plus percent of all searches done on the internet.

If you prefer this method of advertisement, make sure that you are using services that set limits on daily expenses. Be careful and be sure that you us the daily expense limits, it you forget this your credit card could end up with a debt that you did not anticipate.

By now you should know how to keyword research and go for the low hanging fruit as they say. Its in our nature to go for the highest search results and this will have a ton of competition and much, much higher cost per click.

I typically go for keywords that have 1000 to 10000 searches a month. In many cases I am able to get my ad up on Google for as little as 5 cents a click. Youll notice also in Google that they will have a spot where you will tell Google what your willing to spend per click as well.

There is still plenty of debate as to whether your domain name has an effect on placement but I am of mind that if probably does so pick it carefully. Whether it does or not, having product related domain names help consumers remember your domain, they can go back to your site even without the links.

Make sure you have useful content on your sites. If you have followed any of my articles good content is king and the search engines place enormous value and relevance on sites that have good content to back up their keyword selection.

When targeting keywords that youll use, try to think like your customer. What do you think they are going input into the search query to get to you? Also, use specific keywords or key phrases. Submitting a single word or a very general phrase to a search engine will not get you to the top of the search results compared to submitting specific keywords that describe your product and services perfectly.

I would also suggest that when you are using PPC that you write up 4 ads and track which ad out performs the others. Split testing is so important when it comes to PPC especially. Youll want to get the most out of your dollars invested and Google rewards higher performance over others who may be paying a much higher price for their AD.

Always sell the benefits not the features. The prospect is only interested in how your product or service is going to benefit them and since you will limited in space for you PPC ad youll want to pick the greatest benefit.

I cant say this enough. Be careful with PPC be sure you know it inside and out. I would hate to see you jump in and have it burn up your credit card because you didnt know exactly how it worked.
