How Can You Tell When You Have Found Your Soul Mate?

Oct 15, 2007
There's nothing quite as special in this world as when two people genuinely love each other.

The point to having dating partners is to try and find the person who compliments you the best and who you would like to spend the rest of your life with: your soul mate. By dating, it allows you to find that special someone that you can share all your hopes and dreams with. It's nice to be able to have someone you can count on for all your life that you can share your emotions and problems with.

Dating is usually a series of different stages. So long as the couple stays compatible through one stage of the dating process, they progress onto the next stage of dating.

On the surface, it may appear that both people involved in the relationship are completely happy with the other person. However, this may not entirely be the case. At any stage in the relationship one or both people involved may stop to consider if the person they are with is truly the most compatible person for them to be with. Despite the feelings of happiness and the good times, it can be questioned whether these feelings and good times will last forever.

Sometimes when everything is clicking along great with the person you're dating, you still need to evaluate the circumstances. Sometimes, we can be fooled by our emotions, and let logic go to the wayside. It's always important at every stage of dating, especially as time goes on, to determine whether the person you're with would make a good life long companion.

So, if you want to know if your date is Mr or Ms Right, here are some tips.

1. It would be better for an individual to carefully assess his or her feelings about the other person. One factor you need to consider is their annoying habits. Do they do things that absolutely drive you nuts, but at the moment you're willing to overlook? This is one mistake many couples who get married make.

They believe that annoying or troublesome habits or behavior will magically disappear once the wedding takes place. Once the newness of the relationship wears off, those habits that you find mildly annoying may grow into bigger problems for you to deal with. If they even slightly bother you, they're not going to get better as time goes on. Don't make that mistake.

But if you think that you can withstand and endure those things, chances are you have found the right person. If you are perfectly sure that you can accept your partner's faults without complaint then, it must be love.

2. What about your partner? Do they constantly criticize and find fault with you? A lifetime of this will be unendurable for you.

One should realize that accepting somebody should never be conditional. If you accept someone who has qualities you don't like, never impose conditions or have expectations of change. You date will be unable to live up to them and you will both be disappointed.

3. If there are no obstacles to kill the flame of love, then it must be the right person.

This simply means that the person should be sure that there will be no future elements or factors that will trigger some problems on their relationship, like vices, addiction, family problems, previous relationships, etc.

Love is never 100% perfect. Realize that people are never perfect. Humans are susceptible to mistakes, imperfections, flaws, and many weaknesses of personality.

So, the best thing to use when identifying your soul mate is careful analysis of the individual as a whole and not just the physical attributes which is what many people base their love on.
