Losing Weight Can Be Simple

Nov 6, 2007
Last night, I browsed the web and found several books regarding weight loss. To my surprise, losing weight seems to be more like an uphill task than just a simple fare as claimed by many writers.

It is no wonder why many choose to remain in their seats and believe nothing can be done unless they possess the "spirit of a winner" If you are stuck in such a scenario, you are wrong!

Losing weight can be as easy as cooking a simple fare. What you do need to pay attention to is picking the essentials and filtering the unnecessary.

Let's just throw away the seemingly endless tips of weight losing that may already be pre-installed in your head, and focus instead on three main principles, which I would need you to bear in mind in order to lose weight significantly and easy.

So fret not, and read on to find out the simple solution you have always been looking for!

Principle 1 - Eat small meals many times a day instead of a few large meals.

Instead of consuming a large quantity of food at a time, try instead to eat 5-6 meals per day. An American Study has shown that if food is consumed in small amount with an interval of several hours, less insulin will be released in your body, which in turn keeps blood sugar steady and helps control hunger significantly.

Often, many have the misconception that losing weight means you have to starve. This belief is detrimental and wrong! A sudden drop in food intake will harm the stomach hence the best approach is to separate the quantity into smaller meals. By taking many small meals, you may decrease your food intake while protecting your digestive system and you don't get hungry easily.

Principle 2 - Water as your only love.

Soda, alcohol or even juices are loaded with sugar, which significantly increase the calories we consume everyday. Let's just bring the numbers out. Assuming you consumes a strawberry smoothie for breakfast, a diet soda for lunch and a vodka at night. That will be nearly 500-800 calories a day and almost 24, 000 calories a month!

By replacing them with water, not only did we decrease such unhealthy consumption, but at the same time, we also benefited from the increased detoxification effect of water.

Principle 3 - Exercising is not training.

This is the best way to burn unwanted calories away and perhaps also one of the most exhausting methods. Maybe you lead a busy life and you tell yourself that you hardly have any time for your family let alone exercise. Or you just hate the trouble of walking to the nearest sport complex to shake those pounds away.

Remember, exercising is not training. Don't look upon exercising as a chore. Exercising is about bringing balance to your body. You need not make a trip down every weekday evening just to ensure you stay in shape. An easy alternative is to observe. Observe your surrounding. If you stay in a high-rise apartment, climb the stairs instead. If you stay in a bungalow, go for a brisk walk around your neighborhood.

Losing weight can be simple if you believe it is. Remember these principles and practice them by heart. Perseverance can magnify simple principles into magnificent changes. Good luck!
