Internet Marketing Without Squeeze Pages

Dec 7, 2007
If you're new to Internet marketing, you're probably a bit confused. All the terms and technical information that you're bombarded with, day after day, can make you just a bit queasy. We've all felt the same way, no doubt about it.

But you need to know something very important right from the first day you're in the Internet marketing arena, and that is list building. And it's the one way you can make cash pretty quickly, if you start from day one.

Why is a list so important? Well, because that's where the money is. I'm sure that if you've been around more than a few months, you've heard it before and it's true. The bigger your list and the more rapport you build with people on it, the more willing they are to trust you and to buy the products you recommend. The usual way to get an Internet marketing list going is by building a squeeze page, which requires getting some HTML code and setting it into the page.

But if you're just not ready for that, there are other ways to accomplish the same thing. Let's discuss one of them today.

The fastest and easiest way to start list building is by using co-registration. What's that? Well, have you ever seen a list of items for sale on one page with checkboxes beside each one?

That's how co-registration works. First you need something to offer. It can be a free special report about your niche, a recorded interview, an ebook, or anything of value that people would want. Then, write a short ad for it.

The co-registration service advertises the page with your ad, along with the offers of other Internet marketing companies. The people who see the co-registration form are able to pick and choose what they want to receive. You pay the co-registration service, according to how many email addresses you want to receive per month, but the fee is usually low.

You will also need an autoresponder service, which will collect and hold the names and email addresses you collect for you. AWeber is probably the best autoresponder service in the Internet marketing world right now, but there are many services available. No matter which you choose, you will get an email address to use for the autoresponder you set up and you will give it to the co-registration service.

The autoresponder service will also handle confirmations for you. That means that once they receive someone's email address, they will send a message to that address and ask the person who owns it to confirm that they want information from you. Once the person clicks on a link to agree that they do, you're protected. The laws about spamming are very specific in the United States and this "double opt-in" process assures that you won't lose your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or be fined because of spamming.

There are many ways to be list building in the Internet marketing world, and they don't all involve using squeeze pages. Check out co-registration and see if it's right for you. It's one way to be list building without even having a website!
