Dec 15, 2007
Education is essential for the success of marriage. So much depends on how the people who enter the engagement behave towards each other.

It is good if the two partners have at least a high school diploma. According to the first marriage advisers, it is much better than the young man has a better education than the girl. The reason is obvious. It is the man`s role in marriage to be the leader of the house.

Courtship, therefore, represents a very important step leading up to marriage.

In more advanced and serious dating and that implies that both sides are now thinking about marriage and its responsibilities, societal expectations and goals. Courtship is serious for most of the young men and women began after high school diploma. If they are considering college, courtship can be delayed for a few years, but about 25% of the college and university population is now married. As two people make the transition from dating back to the court, they become increasingly involved with each other and less and less involved and affected by outsiders. To some extent, they live in a world of their own and the whole basis of this single experience is to please one another, each seeking to satisfy the emotional needs of the other.

They prefer each other`s 'company to that of someone else. The sense of belonging and know she is loved brings great happiness of the girl. For being regarded as worthy of love adds to the young man's self-esteem. This experience gives rise to intense feelings happiness.

That is why such a courtship is serious in a period approach the sacrament of marriage. Hasty decisions may lead to a divorce court. Infatuation and romance can be a happy moment, but they certainly do not make a lasting marriage. Courtship offers a trial period to determine whether or not the couple is really ready for marriage, if they really love each other. It is a discussion period to test each others character and personality.

It was during this period that the couple should be able to determine whether it is wise for them to marry.

Therefore, a young man should have definite ideas about the qualities of the girl he wishes to marry, and same time, it must have an understanding of the qualities he has to offer. A popular writer on marriage expressed this thought in a very positive way.
