Find Your Success Through Balance

James Ray grew up with a very religious background. He wasn't a typical child who enjoyed sports or social events, but rather he enjoyed reading about all of the religions of the world. As the son of a Protestant minister, James Ray was well grounded in many of the traditional Christian beliefs, but his father encouraged him to have an open mind, and he always supported the other religious studies James pursued.

James enjoyed philosophy, Buddhism, and even quantum physics. In high school, he wanted to understand how the universe works. Even today as a spiritual teacher, he encourages his students to dive deeply into their chosen subject matter rather than dabbling as a seeker would do.

Before becoming a spiritual teacher, James Ray was a top sales manager and in charge of AT&T's School of Business. It was his job to train others in the company, and in doing so, he taught them how to think differently, act differently, and feel differently to get results.

In 1992, James Ray left his job AT&T to start a corporate consulting and training business. James took his knowledge of sales and training to individuals within corporations, because he believed that changing the way people think could change the overall bottom line of a company.

Later on, James followed his true passion in becoming a spiritual teacher. He started the Harmonic Wealth program as a way to teach people that wealth isn't just about having money. True wealth is the result of spiritual fulfillment and life balance. Even people who are rich beyond our wildest dreams can't be truly happy if they feel financially insecure. James believes life must be balanced in five areas to become wealthy.

The five key areas, or pillars, of life that have to be balanced for fulfillment are financial, relational, mental, physical, and spiritual. To truly set your life on fire, you have to find what you're passionate about and then incorporate it into the five pillars.

The reason James Ray feels that the five pillars must be balanced is that each one depends on the others. You can't have a loving relationship with your spouse if you constantly argue over money. You can't perform your best at work if your physical body is out of shape. This is why Harmonic Wealth means you can't simply be happy with having money.

James Ray has been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and Larry King, and he was in the movie "The Secret." Harmonic Wealth and The Secret are very similar, because both require balance. Harmonic Wealth is about the balance of five pillars, and The Secret is about going "three for three" with your thoughts, feelings, and actions in focus. Either way, you must find balance in your life to find success!
