Day Spa Marketing Tips

Jan 10, 2008
Do you know how to market your day spa? There is no one way to get this accomplished but you do need to be actively pursing it. A day spa isn't like a trip to McDonald's - you aren't going to get the same thing at each one you visit. As a result you need to work hard to ensure potential customers know exactly what you have to offer them.

Day spas can offer a full line of procedures including facials, pedicures, and massages. Others may only offer a few very basic procedures. Let them know what you can offer them so they will be excited about scheduling their first appointment with you. If all goes well with it this will just be the start of many that they will schedule with you.

People tend to feel guilty about pampering themselves in our society. Mothers really are the worst as they feel all of there time and efforts should be spent on their family. This can result in a person feeling overwhelmed and stressed out though. Use your marketing strategies to let them know just how beneficial spa treatments can be for them.

All of your marketing should tell people what types of procedures you offer. If you have several different types of massages or facials then let them know the different types you offer. This can help them to decide what will be the best ones for them to engage in. Make sure you include information on the specifics on them so that they will know what sounds great to them.

Use different methods of advertising your day spa as well. Place ads locally in newspapers and hang up fliers. If you have a local radio station that see about running ads on it as well. You may want to take advantage of billboards and even advertising space at sports complexes in your area.

A website can really help you to promote your day spa so don't overlook this type of marketing. You can have complete web pages where they can find out about packages you offer and the various procedures. You can list information about your employees, the benefits of each procedure, and pictures of the facility where they will take place.

Don't forget the value of work of mouth advertising for your business as well. Many people will be more encouraged by the information they get from friends and co-workers than from your advertisements. People don't want to be disappointed with a day spa so give them what they really want. Make sure you have a way to track referrals too so you can reward your customers for spreading the word about your business.

Marketing your day spa is something you really need to think about. You are going to need to be creative and to have a budget in place for it too. Be willing to answer any questions people have about your procedures. Offer free tours as well so that they can find out for themselves if your facility is right for them. The way you market you day spa will really impact the results you have.
