Top 5 Tips For People Looking For The Fastest Way To Build Muscle

Jan 18, 2008
There are so many workout programs on the market these days that it can be rather confusing trying to figure out which one is right for you. One thing that you should always look for, especially when you are looking for the fastest way to build muscle, is a program that includes the five basic tenets of muscle building.

1. Cardio Does Not Build Muscle

Biking and running are great exercises for those who are exercising simply to stay in shape and maintain their health. But these types of conventional cardio exercises are not very effective methods of building muscle because they do not generate the level of muscle fatigue that is needed for maximum muscle growth.

2. Eat More Protein

Your body needs lots of protein in order to create muscle mass, and red meat is the best possible source of protein for anyone looking for the fastest way to build muscle. Red meat contains all of the nutrients and fats that supply your body with energy and help to build muscle mass.

3. Target More Muscle To Get More Muscle

In order to build up muscle mass fast, you have to target several muscle groups at the same time during your workouts. This isn't rocket science. Working out three muscle groups at once is obviously going to take less time and produce faster results than working out different muscle groups one at a time.

4. Heavier Weights Equal Bigger Gains

The more you put into your workouts, the more you will get out of them. So if you want major muscle gains fast, you need to put in major effort. Lifting heavier weights is the best way to do this because lower reps with heavier weights will build up muscle mass faster than higher reps with lighter weights.

5. Let Your Muscles Recover

Working out every single day is not the fastest way to build muscle. It's a good way to really damage your body. Your body is not a machine, and you must give it time to properly recover from workouts. If your muscles are not allowed to rest and recover, then they can weaken and become more susceptible to injury.

Sure, there are lots of people that ignore this advice and appear to be healthy and muscular. Keep in mind that you really have no clue how healthy they are, or how much long term damage they are actually doing to their bodies. Be smart and take care of your body by allowing it proper recovery time.

If quick muscle mass gain is your goal, then you don't want to waste your time on programs that are not focused on the fastest way to build muscle. Do your homework and don't settle for programs that fail to utilize the five key rules of muscle building.
