Do You Have 2 Opposing Definitions Of Success?

Jan 22, 2008
You know, there just may be one simple reason that things don't go according to plan in Life.

There is one answer that is overlooked by most books and articles and one on which I've made some interesting new discoveries that may be of interest to you too.

Here's the critical KEY: "Our Inner Definitions Of What Our Spoken Or Written Words Mean Are Often In Opposition With Each Other."

This certainly bears closer examination.

There are energies in the thoughts we have and the words we speak.

Sometimes the ideas and words we use the most to describe our dreams, goals and ambitions are not in alignment with each other.

Our Conscious Mind which we use every day during our waking hours may "think" it knows what the word "Success" means.

But, our Subconscious Mind may have an entirely different "definition" or emotional feeling about the same word.

If our Conscious Mind and our Subconscious Mind have a disagreement over the "real" meaning of a word or idea, then, Nature has decreed that our Subconscious Mind will get the final, determining vote on the matter, regardless of our Conscious wishes to the contrary.

The toughest part of this, however, is that the Subconscious Mind is where our oldest and most immature concepts and definitions of ideas and words resides.

These patterns from our childhood are still at work and would need to be changed to align with our present understanding and definitions of words and ideas to work for us instead of against us.

So, what's the best way to make these changes?

The established two methods have been Hypnotherapy or Psychotherapy when it comes to trying to ferret out these old Subconscious Mind patterns from the distant past. Hypnotherapy is the fastest and most effective of the two choices, but, both require time and commitment to complete successfully.

But, there is another technique I've been experimenting with that proposes to attack the real core issue of the energy associated with words and ideas at the Subconscious level.

This process involves actually converting the energy of our primary thoughts, goals and dreams into alignment with our Conscious desires by using a "defusing" the old energies and "re-assigning" those energies in a new and more supportive way.

When I did this, I found this interesting quirk: No matter where the recipient of this process lived, even on the other side of the globe, the effects took place and positive energy was released and progress noted where none had happened before.

The model I'm entertaining on how this is happening deals with a link being made to the SuperConscious Mind via the SubConscious Mind during the procedure.

Further information on this would be a little too long for this article right now. Hopefully, I'll write more about it in the near future. If you'd like to know more now, please stop by and visit the site link at the end of this article.

Now that we've discussed all this new information, how can you put it to use today?

I'd start by checking out the ideas and phrases that I use to describe what I desire in Life and I'd try to be sure that they feel "right" and don't bring about any negative reactions. I'd rather invent a new word than use a common one that has negative feelings for me.

You see, positive thinking is great, but, it will only really work if there is no inner opposition to what's being said. And, the little kid inside you, may have a different view of what money, success and work mean to Them than the adult You does!

It's just the way we're built. The Subconscious Mind will win in any argument or disagreement between the definition or meaning of a word, idea or phrase, no matter how popular or sweet it seems to the Conscious Mind.

That is, unless you can change their perspective to match your adult one.

Repeating phrases over and over again, no matter how positive they sound will seldom alter the Subconscious definition (which is the only one that matters in the end).

You can try to rationally and emotionally (with feelings emphasized) "reason" with your Subconscious Mind. Make sure you're in a very relaxed state before doing this and the dreamier the state you're in while suggesting these redefinitions of words like "love", "money", "success" or whatever terms you think need to be addressed, the better. This is the province of Self-Hypnosis and anyone can do it.

Self-Hypnosis like this is useful at times and is worth a try.

Or, you could ask a good hypnotherapist to work with you on this and together you can seek to come to agreement with "yourselves", both of your Minds that is.

This will almost certainly take some regression work to get to the root of the original word patterns and definitions and will take a few sessions (depending on the approach of your hypnotherapist). - George
