Get The Best Anti-wrinkle Cream For Your Skin Type

Jan 24, 2008
It's really important to get the right kind of anti-wrinkle cream for your skin type. Read lots of reviews, certainly, because they are a good place to start looking for the right kind. But if you have oily skin (like me), they can make your skin even shinier, or if you have dry skin, you might still get white flaking. So getting the right one, is important.

I wouldn't use anti-wrinkle creams because of the way they left my skin - oily and shiny. Sunscreen was just as bad, and I ended up not wearing it (a big no-no!) the way I should, got sunburns, and damaged my skin still further. Even the anti-wrinkle creams with sunblock and designed for oily skin made my skin feel worse. You really need to protect your skin from the sun - all the reviews, and all the experts agree on this - but I didn't because they made my skin feel gross.

A few months ago I read in a magazine that suggested using a serum if you have oily skin. I thought I'd give it a try and I found an inexpensive serum that I absolutely love! Right after I use it my skin does not feel oily yet it's moist and soft. I noticed the difference right away after using the serum for a couple of days. I use it in the morning and before I go to bed. Using it in the morning keeps my skin soft making my makeup easier to apply and throughout the day my skin doesn't feel as oily yet still maintains that soft look. When I use at night and wake up in the morning I notice I have less sleep lines!

Another thing I like about the serum I discovered is the price. It's about $11 and comparing the price to others it's still a great deal. Some serums can cost up to $50 to $90 dollars! I found one brand online for $115!

The best wrinkle cream has to be able to fit your needs. I've found that serums meet mine but for others that may not work. A friend of mine has really dry skin. When she uses oil blotting sheets, they're almost completely dry! If I use them, I have to use at least two! Though it's a lot better than when I was younger and using three.

Someone with really dry skin, might need to supplement their anti-wrinkle cream or serum with a good moisturizing cream. Look for lotions that include Sandalwood or Ylang-Ylang, or even Lavender or Chamomile. Colloidal oatmeal might work as well.

Also, be sure to get lots of sleep, drink lots of water, and get plenty of exercise. Your skin repairs itself most efficiently during sleep. Exercise boosts blood circulation, which aids in the repair of cells, and lots of water helps to flush toxins out of your body. Eat a good diet with lots of vegetables. There are lots of other tips available online, and in your library. Do a bit of research, and you'll find many more good ones.

Your skin is the very first thin a person notices when they meet you. A healthy-looking person is more likely to meet and make friends. Friendships, as well as keeping yourself healthy (which also keeps your skin healthy) help lead to a longer, healthier life. I really wish I'd learned my lesson when I was younger, and protected my skin earlier in life, but it's never too late to start taking better care of yourself. So find the right anti-wrinkle cream for your skin!
