Bostonian Shoes - A Rose By Any Other Name Does Not Smell As Swee

Feb 20, 2008
Shakespeare, that genius of words, swore that a rose, by any other name, would still smell as sweet. Unfortunately, when it comes to the shoe world, this is incorrect. In the shoe world, a name means something. There are tons of other industries in where one name doesn't mean anything different than another, but in the shoe world, a name means something. The only way you can last in the shoe company, much like Bostonian shoes have lasted, is to be extremely good at what you do.

How Generic Brands Survive

If generic brands are generally not good, how do they survive? Well it depends on what you're buying. If you're purchasing a pair of jeans or a t-shirt, a generic brand usually suffices. They may not last as long, but while they last they will serve the purpose. Things like electronics can be just about as good as some of the generic brands. But what about shoes? When it comes to shoes, the generic brand just won't do it. Shoes are responsible not only for keeping your feet warm and dry, but for supporting your feet, which are responsible for supporting your entire body.

Your feet are the foundation and the most important part of sustaining your body. When your feet are out of commission, your entire body is. Your legs start straining and your back gets sore. You need good shoes to support your feet, and thus your body. Shoes like Bostonian shoes.

Bostonian Shoes

Bostonian shoes are made for the discerning man; one who wants to have both style and comfort. One of the most interesting and wonderful things about Bostonian shoes is that they do not require breaking in. Instead of having to wear a pair of shoes around your house for a few days before you wear them to work, you can simply purchase a pair of Bostonian shoes, put them on, and head to work. That's one of the many things that make Bostonian shoes so much different than all of the other men's shoes out there.

Favorite Shoes

All of the available Bostonian shoes are great, but there are a few that go above and beyond even Bostonian standards, to become the favorite of all shoe lovers. Take, for instance, the Prescott. This men's dress shoe is a slip-on, which is always more comfortable to wear in a work environment. It is a leather upper with slight ornamentation to give a more "dressed-up" look. The moccasin construction and PU outsole means that this shoe is not only flexible, it's lightweight as well.

Also a favorite is the Eminent, which has a smooth, polished leather upper and is made in the classic dress oxford style. The toe is squared and the decorative stitching makes this shoe one of the most popular Bostonian creates.

Bostonian shoes are a shoe company that is proving that when it comes to shoes, a name truly means something.
