I want to stress the good info in number three. From fifteen years on the other side (working in radio and radio advertising), the stations realize you are there to promote a book...and many are OK with that as long as the conversation enlightens and educates the listener on the topic. Let the interviewer control how much or how little self promotion happens during the interview. And understand that a station is providing this airtime (most of the time) for free and will always want to keep total control of how it's used. Many will take good care of you and make sure you get your fair share of promotion in the interview.
