The Chevrolet Camaro, before it became a celebrity in Hollywood, was a "pony car" manufactured by the Chevrolet Motor division of General Motors. It was introduced on September 26 1966 as a 1967 model. The Chevrolet Camaro was the model touted to compete with the Ford Mustang.
