Germany is the number one economic power in Europe, and the world's third largest economy. Of the over 82 million native-speaking German population, there are also some nearby European countries that speak the German language, such as: Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein. Other areas scattered throughout Europe that use German as a main language like Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Eastern France, Northern Italy, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
