Work Abroad as a Locum Tenens Physician

Medical doctors who work on short-term and temporary assignments for a specified length of time are called locum tenens physicians. Hospitals and physician groups utilize locum tenens physicians for a variety of reasons. Locum tenens physicians replace vacationing doctors, support facilities during peak periods or try out positions that may become permanent, as well as fill short-term staffing needs.
