As children become more aware of the various interior design possibilities their desire to have an active role in the look of their room increases. Parents have also played a role in the growing popularity of decorating children's rooms because it allows them another room in the house to vent their creative furor on. Sometimes it allows them a place to experiment with design options they wouldn't feel comfortable with in other parts of their home, perhaps a particularly bold splash of color or an interesting painting technique.
